Independent database
SandboxMMORPGs is an independent reference site. Games are included because they fit the site's database criteria, not because a developer, publisher or advertiser paid for inclusion.
Original writing
Our guides and analyses are written to explain sandbox mechanics in our own words. We may use official announcements and other sources to establish facts, but we do not republish articles or copy descriptions as a substitute for original editorial content.
News
News items are intended to point readers toward meaningful developments in sandbox MMORPGs. We link to the original source and summarize it rather than presenting another publisher's article as our own. The database and guides remain the site's core editorial value.
Developer submissions
Developers may submit corrections, announcements, press material or new-game information. A submission is treated as a source to review, not as an automatic editorial endorsement. Paid placement does not determine whether a game qualifies for the database.
Corrections and updates
When reliable information changes, we update the affected profile or article. If an error is reported, we review the evidence and correct the page when warranted. Historical entries are preserved where the historical state is itself useful to readers.
Recommendations
Pages such as “Games Like…” are organized around documented similarities in mechanics, setting, progression, PvP, economy or player freedom. They are intended to help readers explore alternatives, not to imply that one game is universally better than another.
