SpaceCraft's sandbox is built around exploration and industrial expansion. Players find resources across planets and asteroid fields, turn them into materials and ship parts, build modular spacecraft and planetary bases, then automate mining, manufacturing and interplanetary logistics. The game also supports player-to-player trade and blueprints, making production and specialization part of the multiplayer experience.
The interesting part is how closely ship construction, planetary industry and logistics are connected. A player can go from personally mining resources to designing ships, establishing automated production chains and expanding an industrial operation across multiple worlds, rather than treating crafting as a side system.
SpacePlayers freely travel between star systems, planets, asteroid fields, abandoned stations and derelict ships.
ExplorationPlayers scan systems and planets, discover resources and travel through a large open galaxy using faster-than-light travel.
MiningResources can be located and extracted from planets and other environments for use in production.
CraftingRaw resources can be processed into materials, components and ship parts.
Ship BuildingShips are assembled from modular crafted parts, with components affecting performance; player-created blueprints can also be traded.
Base BuildingPlayers can establish planetary bases and develop them into production and resource hubs.
AutomationDrones, cargo ships and production systems can automate mining, manufacturing and interplanetary logistics.
TradingPlayers can trade or sell resources, materials, ship parts and blueprints.
Player EconomyPlayer production and trading connect resource gathering, manufacturing and blueprint sales to the multiplayer economy.
MultiplayerThe game is an MMO with online cooperation and player interaction, while also offering an offline solo mode.
